Buy Black Sand kava powder if you want a noble daily drinking kava.
Independent 3rd party lab testing is part of current good manufacturing practices compliance. We get our Black Sand kava lab tested at Flora Research Laboratories and Kappa Labs. As part of our extensive testing program to ensure that our kava is contaminant free and either noble or tudei (depending on what you are looking for) we run microscopy, HTPLC and/or HPLC tests on each batch that is imported using the square root of n+1 sampling method. We make all of our lab tests available to the public.
Kava Chemotypes
- Desmethoxyyangonin
- Dihydrokavain
- Yangonin
- Kavain
- Dihydromethysticin
- Methysticin
A kava chemotype is typed based on the descending concentraion of these six kavalactones within it's roots. This means that a cultivar such as a Vanuatu Melo Melo with a chemotype of 245361, contains primarily dihydrokavain, followed in descending order of concetration by kavain, dihydromethysticum, yangonin, methysticin, and desmethoxyyangonin. To be classified as a noble kava, a strain must have a chemotype that begins with either 2-4 or 4-2, meaning its roots contain primarily either kavain or dihydrokavain.
Black Sand kava Chemotype- 425631
Black Sand kava powder is compromised of a blend of different types of noble kava specifically our White Sand kava and Stone kava. Therefore, the chemotype will change a little with each batch or not relate to one specific Chemotype of kava. What is important is that this kava root powder is highest in % of kavain and dihydrokavain making it certified noble kava. The lab reports for White Sand and Stone kava show the results for Black Sand inherently.
